Our staff believes that the goal of any sports program should be to provide quality training in a positive atmosphere. In addition to skill level advancement, ever improving physical condition should be achieved as students learn self discipline and the pleasure of working with others toward a common goal. In quality programs such as ours, emphasis is placed on improvement and a positive attitude as students build self-confidence and sportsmanship.
In 2002, Mid-Columbia Cheer and Elite Force Cheer were formed to offer an additional athletic opportunity for young children and teens. Cheerleaders practice at the cheer facility, just a block from the main gym. Our recreational and competitive cheer programs incorporate gymnastics (tumbling), dance, correct body line, cheer motions, conditioning, jumps and stunting into choreographed routines. Gymnastics and cheerleading compliment each other at MCGA as they are based on the same fundamentals; athleticism and team work.
